A Visit From My Brother

My brother Dan is in town, and will be through the Saturday of Minicon. Some of you met him at the Minicon meeting (yes, he came just in time for the whirlwind that is pre-con planning). In the meantime, I'm having fun playing tourist. For all the times I've been to the Mall of America, I've never been to Underwater Adventures. I've been to the one in San Fransisco (which wasn't nearly as extensive), but not the one just a few miles away. Until yesterday.

No, we're not actually in the tube. This is a digital pic with a filled-in backdrop. A touristy thing. Still, kinda fun.

Matching jackets - how cute! What's a guy from Mississippi/West Virgina doing with a coat like that? Did he buy it special for this trip?

They're not actually identical, though they're both warm red coats. Dan used to live in Mississippi, but now lives in West Virginia (where it snows on occasion) so he knows what cold is. I don't think he bought it special for the trip, though he tends to bundle up in weather like today's when I merrily jaunt around without zipping up my jacket.
