Rainbow

A hailstorm passed through Mpls. I took a few pictures, but hail, even a street full of small white things, isn't that interesting to look at. We didn't get a great rainbow, but I'll take it. Out of my condo, looking east.

I remember, about a quarter of a century ago, a Minn-Stf meeting at Dream Park on a summer afternoon that had seen some rain. For a while after the rain cleared, a double rainbow was visible in the sky. All of us (I think you were there, too) went outside to see it, and I recall some of the neighbors had also gone outside to take in the beautiful sight.

I was on my way to the meeting at Dream Park, getting a ride, when we turned from Stevens onto 40th. Someone waved us down and pointed in the sky. It was marvelous. We made it to the meeting in time to see it fade away.
