Generic question: How do you use your Interests? Advertising, introspection or Reminder?

Based on mine: I'm mot very weird, but I'm darn interesting. Pie chartiness glommed from [livejournal.com profile] jrittenhouse.

So, barondave, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 0% unique and 20% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy the simpsons). When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are wary of trusting strangers. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.

Your overall weirdness is: 18

(The average level of weirdness is: 27.
You are weirder than 39% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

Given what they're looking at, not surprising; I tweaked my Interests to make them more likely to lead to an existing set, not that I ever click on the interest to find out what others may be doing.

I'm still amused that I can have 0% Uniqueness and yet be weirder than 39% of other LJers. They must not know my fList.

You mean a 0% uniqueness?

How do I use my interests? Given your choices, I guess a mix of a advertising & introspection - I consider them to be biographical information.

Yeah, tweaked. "Unique" isn't the same as "weird", though there's a correlation; at least in my mind.

And also yeah: Biographical information you're willing to share with others, presumably to help people decide wether to read your LJ and/or Friend you, counts as advertising.

Weird. My comment just disappeared.

I did this with my 3 LJ accounts and got very different answers. My weirdness scores were 2, 6, and 13, and my blogalyser analysis ranged from simplistic to conventional. :/ Should I average these or what? And it doesn't count friends-locked entries; about 99% of one account is friends-locked, 75% of another, so...are they scoring me based on the writing style of whomever made up the memes I posted as public? o_O

If your three accounts have different interests, they'll generate different weirdness scores; that would be my guess. As to writing style: I have no idea how they come up with that rating, but it's probably something like syllable count and length of sentences, so you might get different results if you write longer, adult-oriented posts in one than in others.

Or else it's completely arbitrary. Y'never know.
