DFL Family and Fun Fair 8/23/08
I live in Minnesota Senate District 61 and got e-mails about the first annual Family and Fun Fair, held in Powderhorn Park. They lucked out: Today was gorgeous. Not a huge crowd, but there was food and people milling about, lots of kids and politicians on hand to meet and greet. (If there's an equivalent Republican event, I didn't know about it/wasn't invited.)

I did several interviews (podcast/news report coming soon) and soaked up the day. Really, the most fun was watching the kids from the Hollywood School of Dance. They tap danced, above, to some 40s Big Band (as DJ'd by Q Bear from KMOJ). When asked, they preferred doing Hip Hop, so:

I got the invites too. Didn't attend, but thanks to your post, I guess I've seen the highlight of the day. As for the Republican equivalent...well 12 people don't make for much of an event!
