A somewhat strained numerical device in the form of Social Security numbers is used as the criteria (or criteron, as my spouse pointed out) for this story of how divide-and-conquer politics can be overcome by repeated applications of affection and bumpy vistas. Tim Mooney's intense portrayal of a True Believer confronted with kindness from those he's been taught to hate was a bit too manichean at times for me, but his character's redemption at the end was genuine and moving.
