One of the few good things you can say about Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is that he probably didn't take bribes from Jack Abramoff.

One of the few good things you can say about Tom DeLay is that... well, that's a harder call. He resigned his House seat as of today, but the evil he did to this country lives on.

I'm sitting here, watching C-Span 2, and "Mr. Valerie Plame", Joseph Wilson, is speaking at YearlyKos, a gathering of bloggers and people who want to impress bloggers. I don't do blogs -- I produce alternative radio and post on the net -- but I understand why they exist. My mother wrote a book on the underground newspapers of the 1960s, and their rise was for the same reason: The mainstream news media simply wasn't doing it's job. Then, as now, a president from Texas lied to send us to war that we lost. Then, as now, the news media didn't ask the right questions, and were too willing to accept the wrong answers.
