For the second time this season, I turned on the AC in the car. For the first time, I turned it on in the bedroom. It's not so much the heat as the humidity. I didn't move to Minnesota to be warm.

X-Men III is lousy. A good moment or two can't make up for the rest of the mish-mash. Ian McKellen is the best part of two movies in a row (X-Men III and The DaVinci Code). The first X-Men movie was great, the second okay, and the third just doesn't work. Oh well.

I brought my Mac G5 in for maintenance, a year after I got it. I'm generally good, but the third party RAM didn't pass the hardware test. Nothing seems to work better without it in, so I may reinstall it myself and run my own diagnostics. In the meantime:

For Sale: An Epson CX-4600 three in one printer. It doesn't work: A loud grinding comes whenever I try to do anything. I will happily sell it plus a set of spare ink cartridges for to someone for $30. That's less than the price of the ink cartridges (eight, counting the four mainly unused ones installed) plus parts. Hey, you might even get it working. I think I have the disks and booklet around here too. Not the USB cable (which I had to get separately and will use on the next printer).

For Sale: The most recent -- and last -- version of Symantec Utilities and Symantec Tools. These are the old Norton Utilities and Anti-Virus mainstays. They work great... but not on Mac OS X Tiger (10.4). If anyone has a previous version of OS X or even OS 9, this is great tool. Perfectly legal, in the box with the manual and the original disks. No more updates, though. I don't recall what I paid for it at the time, but I'm willing to part with it for $25.

When I switched over from the G3 to the G5, I used both computers with a KVM switch. Now, I'm probably going to keep the older CRT 20" monitor as well as the newer Apple flatscreen, but I don't need the KVM switch anymore. I probably have the software disk around here someplace, but I never used it. The switch works just fine. Make me an offer.

On the plus side, I upgraded iLife and might actually be able to make my podcasts work, and add pictures and urls and stuff too. Whee! More work for which I don't get paid!
