I'm a closet Sci-Fi junkie. My parents don't understand the genre so I keep my reading/writing mostly to myself. No one reads what I write, which will probably make it hard once I do get past the prologue of the book I've had in my head for the last 3 years. I can play it all out like a movie in my head, but writing it down is proving more difficult that I imagine it should be.
Plus there's the whole "do I need a degree to write?" question. And inevitably I decide I do, since it makes sense. You know, cause spelling and grammar and all that are so important.
And there's that annoying "job" thing that takes up my valuable writing time. :-P
I've never heard of a science fiction convention in the Springfield/Hartford area. Maybe I'm not talking to the right people! Hmmm...
