Much as I feel it necessary to draw attention to the very real shortcomings of the current president, you might want to see what Snopes (http://www.snopes.com/photos/politics/binoculars.asp) has to say about this photo (and others like it).

Nonetheless, an iconic image. Unlike Clinton, Bush has touted himself as "a war president" and situations like this belie the claim. Anyone can stutter or misspeak, but W makes a career out of it. Anyone can look through binoculars before realizing the lens caps are on, but W prides himself on "loyalty" and the subservience of sycophants. You'd think someone would have told him... or they did and he was too arrogant to believe them...
