I hadn't really thought about the occasion, but tomorrow is Shockwave Radio's 27th Anniversary. Should I do anything special? Any suggestions? I made a big deal of 25, including coming out with Shockwave Silver, a commemorative CD with 12 hours of mp3s (sill available!), but aside from being a cube, 27 doesn't stir the bones. Is there anything anyone wants to hear that I haven't played in a while? You can listen to it on podcast and everything...

'The Retrospective' is a classic for a reason.

Indeed. I think I'll play Sampler #1, one of four compilations/clips that I made for the 20th Anniversary. Haven't played it since, I think. Then "A Man Called Jayne" by the great Luke Ski for the upcoming movie, and "Ride 'Em Jewboy" a Kinky Friedman song sung by Willie Nelson for Elie Weisel. That's if I have time and we don't go on too long...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I hope you plan to celebrate by buying Shockwave Radio some jewelry, taking it out to dinner, getting it drunk, and having your way with it.

But of course. It's a cheap date.

Which reminds me... have you ever heard of the song "Railroad Bill"? Railroad Bill and the Kitten (:http://sniff.numachi.com/~rickheit/dtrad/pages/tiRRBILLKT;ttRRBILLKT.html") is your kind of song...
