Convergence 2008 Galleries - Preliminary LJ viewing

Convergence 2008 Gallery A, leading to three more pages of thumbs, is up. 351 dollops of pure visual heaven, plus thumbnails and (minimal) annotation.

NOT FINISHED, not by a long shot. I've only zipped through the first thumbs page, but at least you can see the pictures and all the links work (I hope). As always, corrections and comments are useful. I don't know a lot of these people, even the ones who posed for me. And I don't know the names of some of the party rooms (like the Egyptian themed party).

I'll be done enough to let Convergence know at some point soon, since there's such a demand. But for now, LJ gets first crack.

Several people have asked for higher res images from various projects. I'll get to them soon.

Never took the elevator the entire con. There are lots of people playing games, but not on the 22nd floor. Make the con 6 or seven days and I might get to everything...

The Gallery A, B, C, D links at the top are a little fubar
(can't get to all the sections?) but the numbered section links work right.

All four galleries are listed on every page, but no gallery links to itself.

A redundancy, which I've basically ignored. The gallery generator makes the numbered section links, and I add everything above that. I like my navigation system better than theirs, but I've just left it in because it's easier to do so and doesn't hurt anything.

Cool. I just thought I could not get to one of the Galleries by clicking on the 'Gallery X' thing at
the top (like Gallery A and B both go to the same place?) But it was pre-coffee, so I might have clicked
wrong.

apparently the only thing that doesn't work for me
is: if I am on Gallery B and click on Gallery C, I don't
go anywhere. all other combinations apparently work.

so I guess, it's just a personal problem... :)

Nope, not done. Still working on full (if brief) annotations of the larger pictures, and any corrections and structural changes that need to be done to the thumbnail pages. I generally announce the gallery on LJ when the first pass through the thumbs pages are done. Because there are so many pictures and because Convergence is so large that everyone wants to see themselves quickly, I've let the word spread a bit quicker than usual. Naturally, this year the convergence-con.org web site doesn't even have a photos page as yet.
