I had a good time at Convivial. Laid back yet a lot of stuff was going on. Good people, nice interactions, good munchies. Thanks again laurel and unofficial co-chair kaustin, and everyone who was there!

I'll probably put up more pictures in the next few days, but this is the final in the day-by-day series.

But what's with the tiled wall in the background? Was the consuite in a large restroom this year?

The hotel redid the decor, for the better. I didn't specifically note the new walls, which probably means it was good.

The wall looks more grey and tile-like there than it is.

In reality, two of the walls in the consuite are now covered in a dark brown leather-like material which had stitching or scoring in that pattern. Kindof dark, but because the rest of the walls were a lighter non-leather color, it works (and matches the new couch and some other bits of the decor). Rich-looking, which is I'm sure what they were going for. Might aid in soundproofing too now that I think of it.
