The Fringe-For-All, a preview of the 2007 Minnesota Fringe Festival was this evening. At least the first part. Part II is tomorrow. This time, only 22 3-minute performances (vs. 30). Nothing really stood out, but some were better (in my eyes) than others. I met many performers and schmoozed a bit. After having the Executive Director of the Fringe on Shockwave Radio 6/23, it feels like the Fringe has started, even though it doesn't officially begin until August 2.

I'm going to try to make tomorrow's FFA, but I don't want to get too burnt out too soon...

Don't you mean August 2?

I wish that it DIDN'T overlap the Uptown Art Fair, but once again it does. Not that I care about the Art Fair, but Richard does.

Yup, fixed. I usually use the Art Fair as a bit of a respite from the Fringe. The hard part is parking.

Not for you. You can park in your garage. You only live 6 blocks away.

I've walked to the Art Fair (though it's more than 6 blocks). Usually I have lunch at the Indian restaurant on Dupont and Lake and they let me park for a while. Marla's Kitchen, or something, at the moment. To take in the whole thing is a loooong walk, and I rarely make it all the way.
