Continuing from Intermedia Arts 2005, Intermedia Arts 2006 and Intermedia Arts 2007

By the 2008 Minnesota Fringe Festival, I'd finally twigged to the amazing effort that Intermedia Arts was putting in and around their entire building. The Theme for this year, both outside and in, was "Build Bridges Not Fences". These three shots are, iirc, most of the facade facing the street, left to right.

Have you been by 37th & Cedar lately? There's a building there with a newish wall painting, I think it went up just after the election.

Alas, no, I haven't been by there. I wandered west on Lake to Chicago, and haven't done much more farther down the road.

Thanks for the heads up.

Bridges was the theme of the last May Day parade, wasn't it?

Yup. A New Bridge (http://www.hobt.org/mayday/), Infrastructure for the Future Beings.

I image both themes were related to the collapse.

Hi, Dave, this is Les Lim, Web Developer at Intermedia Arts. All of us here really love the photos you've posted of our walls. Are you okay in principle with us using them on our website (http://www.intermediaarts.org)? With a proper photo credit, of course. I don't have a specific page in mind at the moment; I'm just asking in general.

We're also recruiting volunteers who'd like to photograph events (http://www.intermediaarts.org/join/volunteer/digiteam.php) for us from time to time, and your images already look better than ours. If you're interested, shoot me an email: les@intermediaarts.org. Thanks!
