As enticement to buy a Permanent Account, LJ gives $25 to a charity. A nice touch.
The question is: Which one? I thought it would be easy, a choice from a few dozen easily recognizable and worthy groups. But no. There are zillions to chose from.
I'd like something local. It amuses me to support a local charity from the coffers of a virtual social network. At the moment, the Minneapolis Jewish Federation has the inside track. All of them look worthy.
