Parking lots were empty, but the highways were moderately busy for a major holiday. Maybe they were shopping. I went to a couple of low-key parties, and hung out with friends. I'm happy I have such friends to share time with!

It's a disappointing picture. My tree, which is truly lovely, comes out even more poorly represented than my antler headband.

Looks like it was taken with unbounced flash. Christmas trees tend to end up looking washed out under direct flash. If the object was to make the tree show to best advantage, I would have tried to shoot with ambient light and a faster 'film' setting, or set up some sort of improvised key lighting instead.
