Added to Shockwave Radio podcasts: broadcast of May 27, 1995, the legendary show where I play seven versions of The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Yes, [livejournal.com profile] chirosinger, even The Guitar by They Might Be Giants. This adds to the available podcasts of my Fringe Festival coverage and our interview with Bridget Bradshaw of [livejournal.com profile] taffbug fame.

I also added this show, along with many others, to the permanent archives on archive.org. David Romm's Bookmarks. Recent additions include an interview with Amy Salloway (author/performer of "Does This Monologue Make Me Look Fat" and "So Kiss Me Already, Herschel Gertz"), Pre-Marscon Dementia, interviews with Douglas Adams and Jim Young, and the bunch of strange shows Brian Westley did while I was in Antarctica.

The server on my host site finally came through with the space upgrade they promised, and I have a staggering amount of web space... when I'm using less and less as I move audio files to archive.org. I'm not worried about traffic (I turned off Hot Linking, hehehehe). I'm good for a long while, but at some point I'll have to make a decision, and I might as well get input now:

Poll of LJ Friend's: Which would you prefer, more podcasts or higher res images in new picture galleries?

With no ipod (or any other mp3 player) how can I listen to this? I'd really like to hear all 7 versions.

iTunes is Free (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) so you can listen (and watch the album covers go by) on your computer. Basically, your computer is a very heavy iPod...

Alternately, you can try one of the versions on the archive.org site. Failing that, let me know the next time we're going to meet and I'll burn a CD for you. I have a lot more versions now, though those are still amongst the most interesting.
