A Sound of Thunder

On tonight's Heroes, geeky Japanese time-travelling hero Hiro (who had giving the Vulcan sign earlier in the show) sees a picture of himself fighting a dinosaur. He says (quote approx), "What happens if I step on a bug? I could change the whole world" That's a reference to the Ray Bradbury story A Sound of Thunder, perhaps the most remembered story with the most unremembered title in sf-dom.

I like his follow-up better, though, "I really have to find that sword."

Although the way they seem to be writing that character (I say that because I've only seen the first episode, and have read about some later ones), I'd imagine he only knows the story from having seen a TV adaptation or read it as a manga.
