You have a better memory from 22 years ago than I. Linda Ann was not... subtle. Shy, yes. It's entirely possible she had an initial negative reaction to a camera being pointed at her, but calmed down when she realized it was me. I get that a lot, and often have to take two pictures. I wouldn't have taken the picture if she really didn't want me to, and I think she knew I would take a good picture. I like this one a fair amount, for the angle and the smile. So did she, when I showed it to her.

Fandom has always been about Long Distance Relationships (eg fanzines, meeting at cons, Usenet, the web) but Mpls Fandom is a bit different, as we are sooooo far away from other faannish centers and tend to huddle together for warmth. We are (or were) more of an self-perpetuating social group than most. But I digress.

it might have some thing to do with the bozo bus, dream haven lots of Heinlien and Assimov.. or is it the line by a 6 foot muskrat how can one know the enemies if you haven't thoroughly sniffed/licked your friends? ~ i know its not a direct quote but love seemed to be a constant and the refusal to hate just because someone you loved, loved another.
