Dinner in Berkeley

I had a great time in Berkeley CA, catching up with second cousins, hanging out with nieces. Part of the last day was spent with fans from the area, at least the ones who connected via LJ. We had a great dinner at a new Indonesian-Singaporean hole-in-the-wall Jayakarta Restaurant. The waiter took our picture:

Apparently, this was not the first photo memorabilia for the restaurant, as the waiter saw me taking pictures and came over to volunteer to take a picture of the table. Aside from Mike's adumbration, it's a good shot.

Not only am I not wearing a hat, this is the most shorn you're likely to see me as my summer haircut is shorter than usual.

Great shot! Like minnehaha K, I am seeing Olin for the first time. I'm pleased that I know everybody else in the picture (although I haven't seen ambertatge in quite a few years).

Amber looks exactly like she did as a pre-schooler, except all grown up. It's uncanny.

Well, it's natural that those I remember as young'uns from my misspent youthful days in Minneapolis are now growed up and flapping (http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_015b.html). Other examples would of course include mplscorwin, and especially thorintatge (the day of whose birth I distinctly remember; I was at Shinders and ran into his proud and happy papa, who gave me the good news himself).

I am mildly curious to see what Kashia Curney-as-then-was looks like these days.
