The Order of the Pheonix

My power went out and the day has been an odd one, but I did see Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, the first movie I've seen in a theater in many months. I'm not going to do a full review. I just finished the book, and wanted to see the movie quickly so I can move on to the next. It's my least favorite of the books, though that's still high praise, and my least favorite of the movies, though that too is praise. So:

On the Shockwave Radio Theater scale of 9 to 23, where 9 is low and all SKZ Brust works get a 17, I'd rate Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix with these conditions:

If you've read the books and seen the previous movie: 17.

If you've seen the movies: 14.

If you haven't seen any of the movies or read any of the books: Don't bother going.

Actually, isn't it the shortest of the movies so far? Which is ironic, because it's based on the longest book in the series so far.

You're right (by three minutes and several hundred pages). While they began the movie where I thought they would, and generally agree with the cuts and editing, I think they should have either cut out more or added time. It was rushed.

The important thing to me is that (as anybody can see from the cast list) they didn't cut Tonks out of the plot. I have a bit of a crush on her. I imagine the actress playing her is kind of cute. (Pauses to utilize the power of the Internet to find out.) Yes, she is, mmmm!
