While bathing suit fashion has changed, from nude to near-burqa, it wasn't that long ago that a glimpse of stocking was looked on as simply shocking.
Now comes the latest ruling: You have to bare parts of your body in competition. Fina cracks down on hi-tech suits: "But following a three-day meeting in Dubai, Fina has stipulated swimsuits should not cover the neck and must not extend past the shoulders and ankles."
In yet another spin-off of the Space Program, the Speedo Fastskin LZR Racer swim suits have rewritten the record books, accounting for 94% of the golds and breaking 23 of the 25 records at the Beijing Olympics.
